Mater Day Girls’ School was established in 1956 by the Franciscan missionary nuns of Mary. This Christian minority school started with the primary goal of providing education in a Christian environment for all children, especially Christians.
Our goal is the personal and comprehensive training of young people. We make special efforts for the moral, spiritual, intellectual, social, and physical development of children.
We strive to instill in our staff and students a philosophy of healthy living, based on faith in God, respect for the individual, concern for the less fortunate, and ideals of truth and justice inspired by Christian vision.
The motto of our school is “Love through the truth.” This form was placed in front of our staff and students so that their thoughts, words, and actions are fueled by love and truth every day.

General Rules
- The administration, acting through the Principal, reserves the right to dismiss any student whose behavior is deemed unsatisfactory. In such cases, the manager is not required to give any reason.
- Irregular attendance, habitual laziness, neglect of duties, use of foul language, harassment, disobedience, disrespect for school staff members, or poor moral influence, justifies dismissal.
- If a student is in school but absent from class, he will be treated roughly and may face suspension.
- Students are totally forbidden to carry electronic devices like cell phones, iPods, cameras, etc. As well as the literature rejected for school. Confiscated items will not be returned. Violating this rule will stop the student.
- Attendance on the first and last working day before and after extended leave is mandatory. Those absent without prior permission will be fined Rs. 50 / – daily.
- Those who are absent without permission for a month run the risk of having their names removed from the lists.
- All students are required to attend school in clean and complete uniforms. Those who are not in uniform will not be permitted to attend the class. It is necessary to carry a school ID card every day.
- School uniforms are forbidden to wear jewelry and henna/mehndi/tuft of hair/makeup/tattoos / long nails with/without nail polish and double earrings. Hair should be braided under the shoulders.
- Students may not leave the school buildings during school hours without prior permission from the principal. If you are outside the school building during school hours, without permission, you may be fired. The school will not assume responsibility for students’ safety until after they enter the school buildings.
- Any student seen outside the school building after school hours, wearing school uniforms, in any public place or meeting may be punished.
